Jamie Longstaff, JPL Ag Services
Our Story
JPL Ag Services was started by Jamie Longstaff and is a family-owned company based in Mansfield, Victoria.
Years ago, in the big smoke, Jamie achieved qualifications as a light engine mechanic and commercial bricklayer in the construction industry. Jamie owned and operated a commercial bricklaying business before moving to Mansfield with the family for a tree change.
The skills and knowledge of building construction and light engine mechanics led him to be chosen for the Maintenance Manager's role for one of Victoria's biggest fat lamb producers (after a chance meeting and talk about foxes!) and then onto a role as a Livestock Manager.
To Balranald & Buller
From Mt Buller's foothills to the bluebush of Balranald, Jamie's experience has comprised of mustering feral goats in outback NSW, laying kilometres of fencing, pipeline and troughs in the sandy and hot soils of Booligal, excavating and building sheds, footbaths and yards.
Additionally, managing million-dollar lamb-producing companies in Mansfield's green valleys, harvesting seed and hay, and managing agistment cattle for Beefcorp and their award-winning beef.

How We Got Here
Gaining the perfect combination of agriculture, mechanical, and building construction knowledge didn’t happen overnight.
JPL Ag Services started thanks to a chance meeting over a barbed-wire fence talking about foxes and took a lot of hard work and passion (and a lot of lamb sausages) to bring agriculture services for the agriculture industry we are proud to have created.
From the big outback pastoral companies of NSW to the local hobby farm, Jamie and the JPL Ag team are the experts to help you with all aspects of your farm and agribusiness.
